Man drowns in hotel’s swimming pool

ONE person drown in a swimming pool at the City Garden Restaurant on Monday in Dar es Salaam.

The Ilala Regional Police Commander (RPC), Mr Faustine Shilogile said the incident occurred along Gerezani Street at the City Garden Restaurant premises where the body of the deceased was found floating in the swimming pool.

The RPC mentioned the deceased as Nadim Abraham (21), he said the body of the deceased has been preserved at Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) for funeral arrangements while police are still investigating the matter.

In another development, the Arusha Regional Police Commander (RPC), Mr Basilio Matei, has said that there was no nasty incident during the voting process on Sunday.

He said Arusha region had peacefully voting during the day and we hope it would remain that way after NEC releases the results.

According to RPC Matei, law enforcers would not hesitate to take legal steps on any party trying to threaten the security of the region and the country.
